Our board-certified pediatric rheumatologists, the only ones in Charlotte and the surrounding areas, are specially trained to diagnose and treat a variety of rheumatic diseases. They work closely with a team of geneticists; occupational and physical therapists; and orthopedists to treat your child and help them achieve as much mobility and independence as possible.

In most cases, in order to set up an appointment with one of the doctors at the Children's Specialty Center, the doctor who normally cares for your child (pediatrician or family doctor) needs to make a referral to one of our specialists.

You should bring your insurance card or any information about your insurance or payment plan. You should have received a new patient packet in the mail after your appointment was made. Please complete that information and bring the entire packet with you to your first appointment.

Of course. We understand that each child's reaction to coming to our office will be different. All of our doctors, nurses and staff are experts at working with children and delivering kid-friendly care.
